How to Get The Most Out Of Your Google+ Business Page

In this post I am going to share a few simple tips to make your Google+ Business page work wonders.

  • Connect to your Google+ business page from your website using Google+ badge on your page.  This makes it easy for people to follow you on Google+ from within your website and an active ‘Follow’ widget will show up next to your listing in search results.

  • Make sure you extensively use #hashtags in your updates. This makes way for more exposure to users outside your immediate circle of followers.

  • The cover photo that depicts your brand should be attractive. Google+ now allows bigger pictures which lets you to create impressive images.

  • You can use Google Hangout to talk about your business. Although, Google Hangout allows only 10 people on video conferencing function, you can use YouTube streaming to reach a much, much larger audience.  This is also a great way to conduct webinars to deliver great content and promote your business.

  • You can also create communities or join some.  Google Plus has a lot of communities where you can actively partake in discussions and showcase your expertise in your chosen niche.

Google Plus Image Recognition Software - How Awesome Is That!

Google+ made a couple of changes recently.  The first one pertains to images.  As you would know, if you are Google+ savvy, when you upload digital images from your system, digital images are named randomly, sometimes according to the convention available in the recording device.

For example, if I upload a photo from my Cannon, the image may be named something like ‘DG16425' or something of that sort BUT when you upload them to somewhere else, you have to look for the actual photo to know what you are posting and in our busy schedule it becomes impossible sometimes to browse through the digital images and tag them so we know what's in them or whose picture is that.


Google+ now has created a software that recognizes certain things in photos such animals, landscape, etc.  The awesome thing about this feature is that you can now search your photos using search phrases like "Horse on the hillock" or something along those lines and the software pulls out all the images that match the description that you just searched for.  It also works with face recognition and it makes it easier to search for certain people that you might be looking for.

HOW TO CREATE VIDEOS FOR YOUR LANDING PAGES

In my last post I talked about KEY COMPONENTS OF A HIGH-CONVERTING LANDING PAGE and the No. 1 item on that list is VIDEO.  Let us explore how we can create videos for our landing pages.





The options that you have for a good video are, first of all, obviously yourself.  You can use a mobile phone because the quality of the picture these days is really good and getting better by the day.






But if you don’t want to be in front of the camera, then you can go and create a PowerPoint presentation and use that as a video.  In the latest Windows Office program you can save your PowerPoint as a movie file.


 



You can also post a picture of some keywords with some pictures of your offer or your services and you can be talking as a voiceover and save that as a movie.  A lot of really savvy internet marketers do that.





Now, if you don’t to be in front of a camera and also don't want your voice used for the video, you can visit sites like www.Fiverr.com, www.Elance.com, www.Guru.com or www.PeoplePerHour.com where you can get a voiceover artist read over your PowerPoint and just turn it into a movie and that will do the trick just brilliantly.

Now, What should you showcase on the video?

  • Benefits of whatever it is that you are giving away.
  • Grab the visitor’s attention at the start of the video because if you don’t, then they might click off and wander away from the page.
  • At the start of video do something that really interrupts the visitor’s pattern.
  • Have a call to action in the video itself.

You can also use third-party resources like www.Animoto.com to create your video and they do a pretty outstanding job on creating videos for your landing pages.

How to Create High-Converting Landing pages

What is a Landing Page?

Before we get into the key components of a high-converting landing page, let’s understand what a landing page is.

A landing page is an ecosystem that you set up online that has only one purpose and that is to get the visitor do something that YOU intend them to do such as buy a product or service or opting into your list or interact with you in a way that YOU desire. 

Here is a couple of landing page examples:


  


Landing pages are also sometimes known as ‘sales pages’ or ‘squeeze pages’.



KEY COMPONENTS OF A HIGH-CONVERTING LANDING PAGE

  • VIDEO – The landing page should have a video at the top. Here is a video example:



  • OPT-IN FORM - A good opt-in form sits on the top right hand side of the landing page to the right of the video.  Also, the video and the opt-in form will be of the same height.  Below is a couple of opt-in form examples:
  


  • PERSONALIZE - Take advantage of the header or the graphical image right up at the top of the landing page.  Think of ways to personalize your landing page such as having an image of yourself, your company or your clients.  Here is a couple of examples:




  • MEDIA APPEARANCES - You may as well list any media appearances you have been in or your business has featured in.  You can use words like “As Seen In” or “As Featured In” to list your media appearance.  If there is no media appearance to list here, you may as well list any speaking engagement that you and or any speaking events that have appeared in or any seminars that you conducted.  Here is an example:



  • TESTIMONIALS - On the top of your page you may also use testimonial or mini-testimonial of one of your clients that have said amazing things about you or you can use the names of important or popular personalities you have worked with or trained or coached.  You can use the words “Coach to” or “Trainer to” or “Mentor to” and then the name of the name of the famous or renowned or at least popular individual you worked with.  Ideally, you should attach a photo of that individual so visitors don’t dismiss it as a fake testimonial and it also lends credibility to your claim.  Here is a couple of examples:

WordPress Content Management System And Its advantages

A Content Management System is just a web application that allows us to manage the content of the website or a blog.  In fact, WordPress was actually designed to create blogs but later on of course they changed the software and made it much more sophisticated so that now we can build a very nice and huge website using WordPress.



The major advantage of a content management system is that of course no programming is required to build a website. The major advantage of using a content management system like WordPress is that it is basically an interactive system and using this interactive system you can build a fairly sophisticated website.  This is the main reason why people are so much attracted towards WordPress.
